German Study Guide
About Us

About Us

Our Mission

This site is designed to pool together extremely helpful vocabulary, phrases, and resources to help you learn German for travel.

This is not exactly a crash course in German, but you can use it like an interactive reference tool or a language cheat-sheet. We want to equip you for real world conversations, so we have developed hundreds of posts that cover the majority of topics you might encounter.

Who We Are

We’re a small team of remote designers and web developers who are passionate about learning languages. We love all of the freedoms that come with understanding a local language, so we teamed up with a few of our German speaking friends to create this interactive study guide. You can check out an up-to-date list of all our active contributors here.

On this site you will find common verb conjugations, vocabulary categorized by topic, real-world phrases, and much more. Most of our content is supplemented by interactive flashcards (super cool for studying, trust us) and an audio tool to help you learn proper pronunciation.

Who Should Use the German Study Guide?

Admittedly, we built the original version of this website for ourselves. We love to travel, but we hate feeling like tourists who must rely on English.

After building a few vocab lists, we realized that there are millions of people who might find this idea helpful. Anyone from students, to business people, tourists, and even other digital nomads like us can use this site to strengthen their German skills.

Our goal is to build many more websites like this one, so stay tuned. If you have any language requests or if you identify ways that we can improve this website, please contact us!
